For all of us, parenting children has become a complicated task in the midst of societal transformations brought by technology, globalization, divorce, single parenthood, same gender marriages, international moving and the ever-present expectation to become the “perfect parent”.
Parenting is probably one of the most rewarding and challenging experiences in life. Beyond joy, excitement and pleasure, parenthood sometimes carries complex negative feelings, frustration and conflicts.
But even those difficult times can create endless opportunities for growth. My approach to parental guidance starts with you and your partner examining your own expectations and challenges when parenting, the models you try to follow and the fears and fantasies behind certain behaviors. Having me supporting you to reconnect with your inner strength, confidence and hope, will help you to develop new parenting skills and an individual style that suits you and your child.
These interactive workshops are designed to engage parents in thoughtful and effective parenting. During our meetings, we will talk about different transitions, developmental milestones, and challenges that you may face while raising your child. The open-minded and supportive environment enables exploration and reflection, increases awareness, facilitates cooperation, and help you develop tools that best fit your family. These are some of the topics we will discuss:
intercultural families and TCK (third culture kids)
handling meltdowns and limit-setting
supporting meaningful sibling relationships
raising resilient children
improving communication with your child
couples and parenthood
Workshops are conducted in small groups (4-6 participants) that meet bi-weekly for 1,5 hours.
